I know it's been a while since I have posted, but life happens and school started and I just got way too busy! Anyway, here are some pictures of the kids riding Sabrina's horses on August 25, 2006. Colette and Gabe have asked every day if they can go ride Chester and Dance again. Colette did great! She rode all by herself. Gabe always had someone to lead his horse but he did ride with his hands out to the side, on his shoulders, and on top of his head! We had a great time and can't wait to go riding again!

July 24-30, 2006. We took a family vacation to my Grandpa Johnson's cabin near Stanley, Idaho. We stayed for a whole week and had a lot of fun. We were able to raft the Salmon River, pan for gold, play at Redfish Lake, fishing, soak in the natural hot springs, and just enjoy the outdoors. The kids had so much fun being with their cousins and grandparents. My Mom & Dad and sister Kristy and her family joined us. Here are just a few of the hundreds of pictures that were taken on our trip.

Hogle Zoo

July 7, 2006. April Knight and I took our kids to Hogle Zoo for the day. We watched the penguins jumping into the water as we ate our picnic lunch. It was a hot day so most of the animals were sleeping in the shade. Gabe liked the monkeys and his HUGE popcycle the best. Colette ran into a friend of hers from our neighborhood. She sat by her when we rode the train. It was a fun day just getting out of the house and doing something together. I liked the Elephant Encounter. There was a huge replica of an elephant that squirted water out of its trunk at the kids as they stood in front of it. Colette kept getting wet while Gabe sat on the trunk. We also spent a lot of time with the giraffes. It was shady and the kids were amazed at how tall these marvelous animals were.

Kids at Nielson Park in Orem

I took the kids to Nielson Park in Orem with my friend Kelly and her daughter Elly. The kids had a blast splashing in the splash pads in the heat!!! We had a picnic lunch then watched the kids play in the water.
